RAF Rehabilitation Services
The Road Accident Fund is responsible for providing appropriate cover to all road users within the borders of South Africa; rehabilitating and compensating persons injured as a result of motor vehicles. The aim of the Fund is to re-integrate victims of motor vehicle accidents back into society through our Rehabilitation Services offered namely: RAF Undertakings and the Patient Outreach Programs.
RAF Undertakings
A contract between an accident victim and the Road Accident Fund where the RAF pays back incurred medical expenses in accordance with the applicable legislation, due to the injuries sustained in the motor vehicle accident.
Patient Outreach Programs
The RAF administers medical bills when a road accident victim is in hospital, until full recovery. Our medical services area administered by Hospital Case Managers, who assists in processing hospital and medical bills during the rehabilitation. After a victim is discharged from hospital, the Patient Outreach Unit takes over the process of rehabilitation.
